Everybody has that one irrational fear, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Butterflies D: they're flying worms with wings...they creep me out
by Anonymous12 years ago
Me, too! I never thought of that as irrational, though...Guess I was in denial.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Everyone makes fun of me for that!
by Anonymous12 years ago
I know how you feel. :P
by Anonymous12 years ago
Underwater video game levels scare the crap outta me, which is really bizarre.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree! Unless it was the scuba diving marine biologists game for wii.(Blue Ocean?)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Never played it, but I think it's more the giant sea monsters in fantasy games that creep me out.
by Anonymous12 years ago
We're having 2 conversations on this post :o , and I just hate having to come up for air. LoZ, Sonic, etc.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah, I just realized that
by Anonymous12 years ago
Endless Ocean maybe?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes! That's it. It's Blue Ocean in Japan. O.o
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm scared of the timed video game levels.
by Anonymous12 years ago
On Google Earth when I'm flying the plane I freak out if I'm really high up or if I go underwater.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Giraffes....
I can just picture them strangling me with their necks, and laughing at the irony...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Musical chairs. The suspense builds, and then when the music stops all hell breaks loose. Especially when they play songs like "pop goes the weasel" or something.
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is redundant in a way, considering fear itself is irrational. Fear grows around trauma, culture, religion, etc. As many things in this world do.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm not sure that's necessarily true, since fear can be instinctive. If you see a heavy object swinging towards your skull you're gonna be afraid no matter your culture or religion.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well I didn't say in all cases. And in that case, you don't have to be afraid to dodge it, that's just survival.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I was commenting more on the statement that 'fear itself is irrational.' I wouldn't say that fear of something that might take your life is irrational.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I agree, but it doesn't mean you're going to be afraid. Instinct of fear, and instinct of survival can be seperate.
by Anonymous12 years ago
but fear is a life-saving instinct that's been programmed into humans since we had brains
by Anonymous12 years ago
Thanks, for being redundant. Mr.Tempest has already mentioned this, maybe not so specifically.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm a man? Learn something new everyday, I guess.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I apologize, Mrs. Tempest** Sorry about that
by Anonymous12 years ago
You are rather redundant, sir. Please scroll up the page and notice that you've already commented and made your point about it. Thanks. :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
birds.....please don't laugh at me :(
by Anonymous12 years ago
I fucking hate birds, and am afraid of them
by Anonymous12 years ago
hurrah! haha i'm glad someone knows how i feel! i don't even know why i'm afraid. i've never been pooped on or attacked by a bird, yet i'm so scared of them!
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm afraid that they're going to land on me, or touch me at all, or hit me with their beaks. They just freak the shit out of me. When I was at Niagara Falls there were a bunch of birds coming by me and I ran away scared and screamed and all my friends laughed at me - _ -
But yeah for payback I shoot them with water guns :))))))) Yayy PETA!
by Anonymous12 years ago
i hear ya! that must've been so scary!
by Anonymous12 years ago
The comma is unnecessary... just a heads-up.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Thanks
by Anonymous12 years ago
The check out at grocery stores...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Cotton balls. The texture is just so... Ew.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm not alone! I'm not scared of them though, just more grossed out
by Anonymous12 years ago
Other people's toilets.....
by Anonymous12 years ago
Clowns in the sewer and pooping in public (if you can even call that a fear).
by Anonymous12 years ago
bees. hate em
by Anonymous12 years ago
Same! I am terrified of bees. If one gets near me I start freaking out and hyperventilating. All of my friends think Im crazy...
by Anonymous12 years ago
My toaster.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I hate ceiling fans... just the thought of them falling on me. :o
by Anonymous12 years ago
I have had that happen to me before. It doesn't hurt as bad as you think.
by Anonymous12 years ago
thanks..... i guess. :)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Haha, your welcome?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm deathly afraid of washing my face with the bathroom door closed....I'm pretty sure it's because I once read a murder mystery where a character gets drowned in the bathroom sink by her crazy uncle.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm scared of stabbing, car crashes, and I think I'm subconsciously afraid of snakes. Those aren't irrational though.
by Anonymous12 years ago
a tiger eating me when i swim at night
specific, i know:\
by Anonymous12 years ago
I have this fear of waking up in the middle of surgery, not being able to move or say anything, and having to sit through the pain...
by Anonymous12 years ago
There's a movie about a guy who was awake throughout his entire heart surgery...
I think it's called Awake..
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well isn't that just great D:
There is a movie I will never watch.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Nope, I don't have any, therefore making your post completely false and anyone who voted YYA stupid.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oho, you so clever
by Anonymous12 years ago
getting eaten by a shark...in my pool O.O
by Anonymous12 years ago
Haha same... but in other people's pools rather because I don't have one.
by Anonymous12 years ago
People touching my neck n
by Anonymous12 years ago
I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Spiders. Also, spiders. I hate them so much...
by Anonymous12 years ago
aquariums.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I was always hella scared there would be an earthquake during my dentist appointment.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Heights, which is unfortunately why I can never be an astronaut. :(
by Anonymous12 years ago
I feel like there are cameras following me everywhere, like the Truman Show. I've had this fear before I watched that movie though...
by Anonymous12 years ago
Clowns....oh and also taxi cabs.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Immortality and time travel.
Oddly enough, I am not afraid of Doctor Who.
by Anonymous12 years ago
people throwing up
by Anonymous12 years ago
spiders, spiders.... jsut get them away from me! WAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Trypophobia >_< I hate cracks and small holes
by Anonymous12 years ago
I have a fear that my belly button might split open one of these days. I'm not even sure how it's possible... o.e
by Anonymous12 years ago
Old men who walk by me. For some reason I automatically go into panic mode as if they are about to rape me or something.
And big chandeleirs. (spelling?) They scare the crap outta me. I can just imagine them falling on me.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Deep water. If I can't see the bottom, I always feel like theres something lurking just beneath my sight. Even if I'm in a reservoir where there are NO animals. Except me.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Whenever I go to the bathroom in public, I always get super afraid that some creeper is gonna attack me. Specifically at movie theatres.
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is not a fear, per se, but I can't stand to hear the song Hush Little Baby. Ever since I was a baby I would cry, and I still don't like hearing it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
A giant platypus seeing me in my underpants (;
actually, I'm scared of crossing major roads. Probably because one time my friend and I walked to get ice cream, and we almost got hit by a car.
I also hate walking in the front of a group of people because i think they're going to ditch me
by Anonymous12 years ago
Cracking Knuckles. I hate it so much. It makes me grind my teeth and scream.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I've always been kinda scared that something might jump out from the toliet while I'm using it. Also snakes and clowns.
by Anonymous12 years ago
People in mascot costumes and medical procedures.
No idea why with the mascot costumes, but when I was really little I had a botched head exam that I was supposed to be knocked out for and woke up midway through... Don't remember it but I still HATE having doctors hover around my head.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I can't stand having my blood pressure taken. When I was younger the lady put the machine on me, and then left the room, and I guess I moved too much because it just kept getting tighter and tighter till my arm went numb and blue... finally my mom just took it off and waited for the nurse to come back. Now looking at one makes my heart race and I nearly start hyperventilating...
Also, I can't stand having the door halfway open because of some nightmare I had.... it has to be all the way closed or open.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I have this weird thing with buttons. Like, the plastic kind you find on clothing. I have a few articles of clothing with buttons, so I go out of my way not to touch them. I think it's more disgust than fear, but when I touch them I feel like I need to wash my hands. And I hate looking at them. They look so gross.
