Someone's never read the Old Testament....

Fool.

Good job refuting what I said y

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Good job being funny.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If you're going to troll someone, at least make it somewhat amusing. Otherwise it's just pathetic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Stop being a lil bitch.. That's why you're Anonymous. Stfu

If you don't believe it, you can't feel emotion over it, therefore not making it the 'ultimate love story' for that certain person. 'The best love story ever' is subjective.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Since when is it impossible for fiction to elicit emotion?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No I just mean if you can't get into it, as it goes for some fictional romance stories with people, you can't feel emotional about it, therefore you won't regard it as the best love story ever.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not getting into a story and not believing a story are not the same thing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I guess I was just applying it to this specific situation, which is about the Bible.

Romeo and Juliet is better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That is actually a pretty shitty love story. It's a teenage lust story.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

At least it's entertaining and isn't a nonsensical, rambling history of the Jewish people with the main character for the second half of the two thousand page book being a delusional, but goodhearted, man that doesn't love anybody more than that special voice in his head that calls him "son."

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Romeo and Juliet is nonsensical and rambling.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy, not a romance.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

....it's also a love story. Never said it was a romance.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Even Shakespeare himself said it wasn't a love story. He got annoyed when people thought it was. He said if it ends in death, it's a tragedy. If it ends in a wedding, THEN it's a love story.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's kind of pathetic...two people who decide to commit suicide over each other. Romeo didn't even check Juliet's pulse or anything before killing himself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ahh God telling Joshua to destroy everything and everyone in Jericho...love.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ah, someone who's never met you sacrificing themselves so you could have eternal life...love.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Jesus didn't sacrifice himself so we could have eternal life, he did it so our sins would be forgiven and we could go to heaven. We'd have eternal life either way...just in hell.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You seem to know a bit about the Bible. Have you read any of it?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've read excerpts, but not the whole thing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Me too. Which are some of the ones you've read and why? Did someone tell you to read them or did you just read a few while skimming?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I've read the bit about Jesus and the demons and the pigs. And I haven't actually read the Jericho bit, I've just read articles about it. The story of Jobe. And I've read a few other sections, but they all kind of blended together in my mind. Also when I went to church they read some out loud.

im convinced that the jews are right. after all, how can god say that he will never interfere with humans after the flood and then send his only son to save us? the funny thing is that I lean more towards buddhism.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

God doesn't say he will never interfere with humans after the flood "...never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." (Gen 9:11)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"eternal life" is referring to heaven. Eternal death is hell.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ahh God turning Lot's wife into a pillar of salt. "A Bible-based marriage can sometimes be between one man and a kitchen condiment!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The Old Testament is prophecy and anticipation leading up to Christ. The New Testament is fulfillment of scripture, Jesus example of a servant leader, and God's sacrifice of his blameless son for the sins of the World, not because we deserve it, but because he is love and it was our only chance at salvation.
