+1,650 At the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, instead of "The End", they should've put "Mischief Managed", amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I solemnly sear I am up to no good. AHHHHHH It shows I'm still alive!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

you're talking about the credits, yes? cuz it would start listing names and it would say voldemort....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm doing magic and I'm STILL ALIVE

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't recall them even saying The End.. am I just forgetful?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think the OP just said this for the sake of the joke...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They said it after the 8th book, Harry Potter and the Return of Bellatrix

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No I think we needed closure

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mischief managed IS closure....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mischief managed isn't closure... LOL J.K. ROWLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I meant we needed to see the words "The End".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mugglenet posted an article that was like a fb event. At the end of the last movie the people in the theater said "Mischief Managed". But not enoug hpeople knew so it turned into a few random people awkwardly mumbling it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

wow then your theater is lame! in mine, nearly everyone stood up, pointed their wand or fist if they didnt have a wand at the ceiling and shouted "MISCHIEF MANAGED!" It was so amazing

by Anonymous 12 years ago

http://mylifeisaverage.com/ Just wondering if you'd be interested.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, in our theater, I'd say a good 75% of us stood up and said "Mischief Managed." But I definitely agree that they should've added it themselves.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I would of liked it to say "All Was Well"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I always hated that that was the last line. Downvote away.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thanks for the permission

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's what my sister and I really wanted it to say. It would have been the best way to end it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just out of curiosity, why do you hate that line, ender?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't hate "the end," but endings aren't always happy. All is well shows that everything is well and has been that way since the defeat of Voldemort which was a main plot through the whole series. I just think the book and the movie should have been ended the same way. All is well shows closure that one can be happy with. It wasn't really the end either; Harry Potter, at least for me, will always be a part of my life. In the words of J. K. Rowling, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

LOL

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They already did that for Prisoner of Azkaban, didn't they?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

or Peeves singing "We did it, we bashed them, wee Potter's the one and Voldy's gone mouldy, so now lets have fun!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

which would make so much sense because peeves wasnt even in the movies -.-

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That always... wait for it... peeved me! Bahahahahaha! Sorry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

... lets not get technical here ;)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

YOUR SARCASM IS LOST ON ME

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And for the credits, they could have had the names of te people as if they were on the map, with them walking around and stuff.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

*the

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm getting bored with these POTDs

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Me too. I mean, I'm a HP fan and all, but I've seen this before and it got old after the 5th time.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought your name was Simon...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I remember a user named Simon, but that's not me. Honest.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes, that is pain-stakingly clear to me, thank you.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I wish I could live up to the legacy that was Simon. On a side note: you know how there's the greetings at the top of the page? Do you ever get the one that says "Not many Chauncys on POTD?"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"No, do you?" said Chauncy with a sense of sarcasm rivaled only by the most phlegmatic of writers. "But I feel that this greeting becomes more and more true as the days go on..."

http://www.omg-facts.com/view/Facts/37018 I might actually roll on the floor laughing

by Anonymous 12 years ago

OMG! *goes to see if its actually there on the dvd*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not that funny.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

AHAHAAHAH!!!!!! WHO'DA THOUGHT?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I bet it's hagrid and dumbledore.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Anthony must have gotten into Pottermore.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And at the end of Twilight they should have said "We're sorry!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And at the end of your comment, you should say, "Oh look a Twilight bash, how highly original!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hm. I don't really know why, but I guess if you say so, I will... "Oh look a Twilight bash, how highly original!"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It actually was a fairly original bash

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I know, but bashing Twilight in general is just so overdone.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

true...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

at the theatre on opening night.... at the end of the ERA the people sobbed the words "MISCHIEF MANAGED!!!" and thats when i lost it completely

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It would be awesome if they showed an orgy with all the giants at the end hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or they could have ended with "To be continued..." And have them make Harry Potter movies forever so it'll never end and we'll be able to watch the trio forever!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Considering 'Mischief managed' came into the Harry Potter series in the third book/movie, and was rarely mentioned other than in the prisoner of Azkaban, I don't think it would fit. It doesn't encompass the whole series.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No then I would have been even sadder.
