+281 In any right angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the square of the other 2 sides, amirite?

Whoa! How did this get homepaged? It's almost a year old!

Math on amirite? What is this nonsense d

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a reason I stopped taking math after sophomore year.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because a^2+b^2=c^2 confused you?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bad experience with parabolas.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In any right angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to any other side squared, divided by the squared cosine of the angle formed by that side with the hypotenuse.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If anyone else had posted this...it would be a statement, not a question.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The hypotenuse of a right angled triangle equals one side time radical 2

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's only in special right triangles to be specific, 45-45-90 triangles.

2+2=4

2+2=5

radiohead man!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what is the point in this?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's three.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HAHAH!

Pythagorean theorem, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was just about to say that and I was scrolling down the comments, hoping no one would say it... Then you came along. A squared + b squared = c squared.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Only on a plane. If the triangle is on a curved surface (such as a sphere) it is possible to have a right, equilateral triangle, which would obviously defy the Pythagorean theorem, because a^2 + a^2 does not equal a^2

WTF!!!? Math on Amirite!!?? This is outrageous and should be removed for disrupting the peace of all the procrastinators here and for making my head hurt trying to understand the post :( And I came here to get away from school :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Let's just all post what we learned in math class today, shall we?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I learned that when your teacher puts a thing of water on your desk not to put your face too close... Even if he says that two hairs are going to fight don't look!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had to ttake a test and learned that I didn't learn what I was suppossed to. :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh seventh grade Math, how I miss you.
