+192 Parkour should be an Olympic sport, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

parkour is by nature not competitive. Competitive 'parkour' isn't real parkour.

The spirit of parkour is to get from one place to another in the fastest way possible, therefor it can be just as competitive as running or swimming.

It doesn't matter how it was intended, it is what it is.

So it could be like, a race then.

Exactly

It isn't about how fast you get there, it's about how much style and unnecessary flips and jumps you do to get there

I've always heard people define parkour as "Getting from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible" but obviously many people disagree with that. Perhaps free running would have been a better term?

Well parkour would fit better with gymnastics more than a race cuz u need biger opsticals i sould know i do it but it is a veary competitive sport
