+121 You hate it when somebody sends you a text that is a statement but they add a question mark. Ex. "I don't get it?", amirite?

I hate it when people talk like that. My honors English teacher was discussing how stupid you sound when you talk like that just the other day.

The question mark, when used in txt messages can be a symbol of confusion.

I read that as "I don't get it. Please explain." I, however, am far to lazy to write any of that, so I'll just text back, "Huh?" Or maybe if I'm feeling ambitious you'll get a "What?"

Sometimes, I put a question mark on statements because I want it to be read with an upward inflection. I know it's not grammatically correct, but I do it.
