+397 Not being upset when someone you never knew dies does NOT make you a bad person, amirite?

if the death is by a natural cause, there is no reason to be upset at all. Even someone you know, what happening is natural, however as humans we have lingering attachments to objects and peoples that causes us to become upset.

But the thing that annoys me the most is when people overly exaggerate about someone who dies that they never even knew

I was going to say something to that effect. My friend's mom died very suddenly. And, it's extremely annoying when people who don't even know her, start crying and acting upset. I'm sure they meant well, but it just seemed disrespectful.

Especially when you tell someone "oh hey, so and so died today" and suddenly they start overreacting like "OMG, I have to make a status about it and write it on my hand and make a sign for it and tell a billion other people how sad I am about it!" good for you that you care, but are you really gonna make someone's death a popularity contest?
