Well, what's your definition of the age of the internet? Because they started working on something like it in the 50s. And it became common in the mid-1990s, sooo.

It was commercialized in 1995 (It's about 16 years old). So basically that's when it became a real thing in my opinion. It depends how you look at it I guess.

The Internet Protocol Suite came out in '82, that standardized internet stuff, like Webster's Dictionary standardized American. But American was out before then.
ARPANET, first internet project made its first communication in '69.
Telenet was the first one technically available to general public in '74.
World Wide Web launched in '91.
In no way am I older than the Internet.
