+488 It seems to be a law that all modern pop stations must play "Last Friday Night" and "Party Rock Anthem" at least once every hour, amirite?

I'VE SHUFFLED LONG ENOUGH. It's time to sit down and put my hands down to my sides.

What I hate most is the message they deliver in the songs. It's essentially about having fun and partying without considering the consequences. Sure, go ahead and do that. See where it gets you.

Don't forget the show must go on by lupe fiasco. Except I don't mind that one as much.

My sister has both those songs on her iPod AND she hears them 10 time a day on the radio..I have no idea how she doesn't get tired of them.

It's because the younger generation has grown up listening to this crap since they first started listening to the radio. Music nowadays sucks and they all think it's great because they grew up with it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Music nowadays sucks" well isn't that a pretty big generalization.

I realized after the 5 minutes were up that I should have put "IMO" after my comment. I do, however, stand by it, because I despise nearly all the songs currently on the radio. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, I don't like it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is why I don't listen to radio stations. I don't mind pop songs when I'm at a club or something but I cannot listen to it even once every hour.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

After an hour, they say,"Do it all again"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Lighters gets played a lot too. I love it.. But five times an hour? No, not necessary. Stations need more variety. :P

I don't even listen to the radio anymore, so I wouldn't know.

And fucking Nicki Minaj with Superbass. I literally heard it 4 times back to back, then twice back to back, then again twice all in one day.

also.... Moves Like Jagger

Listening to the pop stations on the radio nowadays is practically like listening to an iPod with four songs on it that play in an endless loop.
