My last name is prounounced "her-NER" but everyone says "WHORE-ner." The worst part is, my aunt and cousins have stopped correcting people so if they introduce themselves to people I know they say "We're the WHORE-ners." It's terrible.
by Anonymous12 years ago
My last name is pronounced "FIE-gen-bowm", but I've heard so many variations of it (e.g. FEG-en-bawm, FEEG-en-bawm, fie-gen-BOWM). It gets annoying. And, my first name is spelled a lot of different ways too - I've seen Erica, Ericka, and in one extreme case, Eryka. IT'S SPELLED WITH A K!
