You feel bad for the back up guitarist. amirite?

It's rhythm and lead, and you need the rhythm for a band to sound good. And hey, at least he's in the band!

I feel bad for the keyboardist
by Anonymous12 years ago
Why? That means that he's good with his fingers ;)
by Anonymous12 years ago
yeah but you can rarely hear him in the mix and they usually look nerdy

Bands that are actually good don't have this problem because each band member usually has some part in a song that stands out. But I get what you mean... I mostly feel sorry for drummers.

Wat. The drummer is almost like the leader.

Yeah, but only to people who know about music, most audience members just disregard drummers entirely.

Well like the first person said, back up guitarists are actually very important to the sound of any band especially rock and roll I think. Just take Malcolm Young for example, without him there's no AC/DC :D

There are no small parts, only small musicians

If you were backup for someone fit and you making decent money, I wouldn't feel sorry for myself at all :L

I feel bad for the lighting and sound people. No one cares about techies until it goes wrong. Even if that's only one time out of a thousand stunning shows.
