+310 There's always those assholes who leave their porch light on Halloween night but they're not home when you ring their door bell while trick-or-treating, amirite?

I remember once when I was little.. the first house I went to there was a lady sitting on the porch. It turns out she was just talking on the phone and she told me she had no candy. angry

My dad makes me stay home and hand out candy on Halloween, so this is me.

What if they've gone out, and they left the porch light on so they can see where they are walking in the dark, and which key they need when they get home?

It's Halloween. They should be home waiting for children to come knocking at their door and should not be out and about lolly gagging. Besides, this is through the perspective of a trick-or-treater, not people who have to look for keys when they get home.

they should be encouraging kids walking around streets going trick or treating, most of the kids nowadays just go to the mall for candy :(

Or the house owners are just really really old and from the time they hear a knock on the door theyhave to somehow stand up and walk totheir front door with their glass bones and paper skin. And by the time they get to the door, your patience has ran out and you're off galavanting to the next house while the elderly are heartbroken and go back to watching Tv... This may or may not be true, but this is what I feel happens alot... It makes me sad :(

If we did that and a kid did happen upon our door on Halloween... we'd get egged.
