http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/99999999/ENT/41007010/Jokes-set-local-Halloween-apart This article came out, & pretty much blew everyone who lives here's minds. We thought this was common everywhere. (ashamed)

It's a shame, it's a lot of fun! Everyone gets to use their horribly cheese jokes to make people laugh. Makes trick or treating better, I think. Although I've been doing it since I can remember.

I usually just take my top off, of course only for the men in windowless vans.

They made me when I visited Iowa for Halloween... God, that scared the crap out of me, telling a lame joke in front of a big, scary adult... why not just give us the damn candy?

I had to when I lived in St. Louis, Missouri. My cousins, siblings, and I always liked to find new jokes every year. The first year I went trick or treating elsewhere, I was really confused when no one asked me for a trick. On the other hand, people thought my mother was crazy for asking trick-or-treaters for a trick...
