+234 People writing upside down crosses everywhere claiming they worship the devil obviously don't know what St.Peters cross is, amirite?

Yeah it originated in Christianity, but through popular culture has been accepted as representing the opposite of what Christianity stands for. I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure for Satanism it's supposed to be an upside down crucifix.

Yeah, most people I know view an upside down cross as a symbol for not believing in God/being God free.

I think it was supposed to represent St. Peter's crucifixion upside down.

I knew that part, but I don't really view it as that though.

I know a bunch of people who are like, look how hardcore I am BLAH BLAH BLAH. And I just want to say... "You're all idiots."

Yeah, it *is* pretty stupid, but I assume the symbol now represents "devil worship". I mean, just look at the swastika. It used to be a hindu symbol of peace, but now it's been forever tainted and people usually only asscociate it with anti-semitism and hatred. The upside-down cross may have first began as a symbol of reverence, but now it means the opposite. They're still idiots, though.

Yeah, St. Peter was curcified upside down because he said he wasn't worthy of dying like Christ.
