+271 It's awesome when you do a really shitty/half assed job on a project in school but the teacher still gives you high marks. It also sucks when you think you worked really hard on a project and your mark is much worse than you thought it would be, amirite?

Last year we had to make a project with 100% recycled paper. I made some combs that actually worked and I did it in less than 4 days. The teacher threw them away and said something like "Do you really think those were good enough to qualify for this project?". Everyone else thought they were cool :/

I worked over 7 hours on a project for my world history class. I started a week before it was due, but the day before it was due I worked until 12:30 am and then woke up at 5 am to put on the finishing touches. I got a B on it. I had to write a book review for the same class. I didn't even read the book and just bullshited my way though it. I got a 100% and the teacher asked to use it as an example.

I worked 7 hours on an essay (this is middle school we're talking about. It was like 4 1/2 pages single spaced). Apparently, one overly long paragraph qualifies a decrease of 7 points. No other comment on the essay. Another time, I made a few grammar mistakes, 2 of which were correct. Minus 7 points. Teachers just LOVE to ruin your grade when it's high. I want a 100. If I put in the effort, I deserve a good grade, amirite? I swear, if someone else is dumb, they don't look at it at all. I believe a 100 should be achievable. I shouldn't have to work to death for one, and when I do, I don't want a 98 and a "Well, nobody's perfect." If you try and tell a teacher they graded you incorrectly, they will *acknowledge* it and do nothing about it.
