In hebrew there is one word for peace, hello, and goodbye. It's shalom.

Back when Tolstoy wrote "War and Peace", this wasn't true yet – they were just similar. Nonetheless, he'd sometimes get the two mixed up in his manuscripts, which kind of gives you a new perspective on the book. In case anyone actually cares.
