I know what you mean. One of my friends has an alternate facebook just for her "Gay status updates" And I think to myself "Is it really THAT important?" It makes me want to make an alternate facebook account where everything I say has to do with me being black. "Had the most awesome day eatin' fried chicken with my niggaaaas" "I don't need any sunscreen. I don't burn cause I'm BLACK. haha!" "Man, I got pulled over today. Must be cause I'm black" "Black and proud!"

I'm okay with the people who fit the stereotypes, like if a gay guy acts really feminine and whatnot that IS his personality. But if you're referring to the people who actually mention their sexuality all the time I know what you mean. Like "O HAI IM BISEZZUAL AND I LIKE PIE OH DID I MENTION I WAS BI? YOU KNOW WHATS A COOL WORD?BI. LIKE ME."

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but whenever I talk about the fact that I've got a service dog I worry that I'm doing something like that. I don't want to make a big deal out of it and it certainly doesn't define me, but at the same time the world is really different for me and sometimes I want to talk about it. Great. Now I'm worried again because I brought it up to mention that I was worried about it. Damn it

I mention my sexuality a lot, but only if someone says something negative about gay people. I also mention it when I talk about my girlfriend because I do not like being called "sir," even if it is over the internet.

they used to write tv and movie characters like this in the nineties and stuff. Like, if there was a gay character, they would feel the need to announce their gayness every five seconds.
