Where do people live where they can't call African Americans black? I'm black and either is fine and around my parts most people only say African American for ethnicity, and that is only for records and stuff.

I find it pretty annoying to be called a redskin, as I am native american. Apparently, that's not offensive though, as there are plenty of schools here with "Redskins" being their team name/mascot.
