Yeah, and I'm sure they have the ability to. But the apple people have probably worked out that making waterproof phones would be a loss to them. An iPhone costs $200 with a plan. But if it breaks because you were using it in the shower, you pay $700 to replace it. Waterproof phones would get them maybe $100 extra from each person who buys one, and not all iPhone users want to spend the extra money. So if person A has a regular iPhone and drops it in the toilet, he pays apple an extra $700. Person B has a waterproof iPhone and drops it in the toilet. The only thing apple gets from person B is the original extra $100.
