+653 Before he learned he was a demigod, you wonder why Percy Jackson didn't realize something was up when he took showers and didn't get wet, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If percy had been a woman, she probably would have noticed that her vagina wasn't getting wet either hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Or if they didn't use condoms, he'd notice that his penis didn't get wet.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"His" vagina hehe

by Anonymous 12 years ago

oh well there's not much i can do about that now

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well now I look stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Conspiracy Keanu: What if asexual women are really demigods?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Hopefully not when he was 12.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

One can only hope

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The books would be a hella lot more fun to read, too.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i would definitely enjoy them more

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, I bet I could get her vagina wet enough to notice hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I ought to find who this baby is, wait until he grows up, and cast him as the main character in my own Percy Jackson movie.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Here's a little update on his age, Dennis. http://ctrlv.in/55041

by Anonymous 12 years ago

SOON.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

maybe he thought that was totally normal?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly. It's not like he would know how taking a shower would feel to other people.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If he can't get wet, wouldn't he notice that's weird. What if he goes to the beach or something?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He //does// get wet. Proof: http://ctrlv.in/55026 I rest my case y

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Use some proof from the books, not the movies that are always wrong. For example, when found by a fishing boat, Percy used all of his willpower to keep himself wet when he boarded the boat so the fishermen wouldn't become suspicious. He stayed wet. Aaaaaand I rest my case y

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it was a joke... wary

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Double entendres hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't get wet. Does this mean something...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, considering you're a jew.......it means you're Moses

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh. I thought since he was a jew, it would make him a doggy.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought it made him a hora. http://ctrlv.in/55044

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That's a dance. Silly Kashish.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

http://ctrlv.in/55055 Silly Brettward. troll

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How many? It doesn't show the amount. troll

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly, it doesn't show any. No fucks are given smirk http://ctrlv.in/55062

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But he's looking at his fucks. You give your top five fucks. http://iblastinside.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/top-five-fucks.png

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It would make him a Brettward!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

95!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It means you must not be around me very often hello

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Guys, in the novel, he only stays dry if he wills himself to, remember?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, he has to will himself to stay wet, like when he was found in the ocean by some fishing boat. The first time he stayed dry, it wasn't in his conscious thought to do so.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Waybe it is because he expected to get wet because he didn't know about his demigod-ness so he sort of willed himself to get wet without realizing it... I may be conpletely wrong, but it was worth a shot.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

That is some beautiful retconning, awesome theory :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But... Wikipedia says, "When Percy is underwater, he stays dry unless he consciously forces himself to become wet". Please don't tell me Wikipedia is wrong. Please.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Don't really care about this series but Logan Lerman is hot

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I actually like the series, but you're right. Who cares about the shower debate when you can look at that face?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

my icon :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I knew this was coming! :p

by Anonymous 12 years ago

and he looks like a cat goo http://ctrlv.in/55039

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Before he knew he was a demigod he didnt have access to all of his powers... Which means that he didnt yet have the abililty to stay dry.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Is anybody else reading the Heroes of Olympus series?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yep. I love how the series seems more mature than the previous ones. Maybe owing to the fact that most of the main characters are 16 wheras Percy was 12 in the first Percy Jackson book. I just finished the second book in the Heroes series, I'm glad Percy is still in it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was just about to say how I like that the books are getting bigger and appealing to a more mature audience now. The ending of the second book drove me crazy, so I really can't wait for the third one.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well if he doesn't get wet, put some lube it will make it much easier

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not like his skin is hydrophobic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Because Percy Jackson & the Olympians is riddled with plot holes. Like hey, you're my friend, but I didn't notice that you only had one eye and I didn't notice that I had no idea what your face looks like. Like hey, "the Mist" is a total copout for everything.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's funny when people try bashing a book without reading it properly. Tyson wasn't Percy's friend...he actually tried to avoid Tyson at first. And the Mist is a magic force that blocks or changes the view of magical things from mortals. It's brought up in every book, so it's not something that Riordan came up with quickly to cover up his mistakes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"It's so weird how people don't get wet when they shower, amirite?" 1,067 no ways!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He Also Should've Realized No One Gives a Fuck!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Obviously A Lot Of People Care Because This Is Potd.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

LOL OH MY GOD I NEVER REALIZED THIS

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm pretty sure it's because his powers didn't manifest until some time after he turned twelve. Also, I always wondered why the demigods were more like miniature versions of their godly parent instead of being like the demigods in Greek mythology, who were usually just skilled warriors.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Poseidon was in his dreams. //Yea, wet dreams.//

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My friend Jessie Carter wrote this and is really happy!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'd be pissed if I wrote a post anonymously and it got POTD hmm

by Anonymous 12 years ago

She doesn't have an account though :/

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was looking in the "random" section and found this... what a surprise it was to find out it was POTD.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

He didn't always have the power, his powers work best with slat water anyway and he can allow himself to get wet if he wants to.

by Anonymous 12 years ago
