The majority of horse riders don't use spurs any more. A horse would have to do something drastic before most riders would cause a horse pain.

Alright, let me apologize to all of the horse lovers who were offended by the fact that I talked about spurs. I'm sorry, and if I could still edit my post, I would remove the part about the spurs. Please realize that I was only trying to make an entertaining post (on the internet, by the way, which is full of much worse things than spurs and stupid people like me,) and wasn't trying to offend you or imply that I enjoy hurting animals, horses or otherwise. Also, forgive me for being impulsive and having random ideas inspired by video games where the only way to get around is to continuously kick a digital horse to keep it from slowing down.
