Actually in some interpretations of the 10 commandments, any swearing is considered taking the lord's name in vain, that's how I was raised anyway.

That's one theological perspective. Most Christians however believe Jesus is God and God exists in three distinct persons who are united in essence: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

He is supposed to be the same person, you know, the Holy Trinity, otherwise, if you count God and Jesus as separate people it could be considered polytheism and Christians don't want be be labeled as polytheists because the have the mantra of "The -one- true God" and everything

Technically the God you're referring to is not (nor has he ever been) a "person". He's part of the Trinity, a three-part entity consisting of only 1 "person", AKA: Jesus. Besides the point, where does The Holy Ghost (also part of the Holy Trinity) come in? Oh I forgot, Miley had a 3rd personality that longed to be freed from the prison that is Disney Channel.
