+249 If you were capable of knowing how you were going to die, and that there is no way to avoid it, for example, you would know that you will get a fatal disease in the future, you wouldn't want to know how you are going to die. amirite?

And you could avoid it--if you would die in a car crash you would never get in a car or walk near any.

I'd rather know //when// I was going to die than //how// I was going to die assuming I could only know one or the other but not both.

I'd rather not know either. If I knew when, say, in five years, I would be counting down, "oh man, only two more years to live." then when I got to that final year, I would antagonizingly wait out the year for my inevitable death, knowing that anything I do could result in my death now more than ever.

If I were to find out how I was die-ing, it'd probably make me more able to do things. Like, if I was supposed to die from an illness and I'm taken hostage, I'd talk to the guy and try to get help because I know he wouldn't shoot me.
