There's a correlation, only because after so many years you experience things. There's many variables, and special cases though.

Then that's a correlation between experience and maturity, age being a surrogate measure.

An indirect correlation? Lol. I think you're just adding modifiers to try and make your initial post still seem valid. Adding variables doesn't make a correlation any more or less direct; it just means you've added variables.
