+178 Generally, some mid-line (price-wise) headphones sound better than expensive top-of-the-line headphones depending on what music you listen to, amirite?

Your post is an oxymoron. It's in the form "Generally, specifically ___ is true."

General occasion about specific object.

what I meant is that this statement is true in general. There are some exceptions where the best of the best are always better, but usually not

Nothing beats doctor dre beats

I suppose, but I think it matters as to what kind of music you listen to. I've heard that they only maximize the bass part of songs. No offense.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah but they also block out a tone of the outside noise so you don't have to blare them

Beats are way over hyped, imo. They're not built very well and they're only good if you're an extreme basshead, and there are still better bass headphones at lower costs. They are some of the best looking headphones though.

See, I got these Phillips headphones for $4 on sale. I find them better than those piece of shit Beats. Then again, I don't listen to hip hop, I listen to metal, rock, or classical music. So this bass is fine for me.
