+681 Look at the people of the 30's, 40's, and 50's, and then look at today's "beautiful people." It's obvious where the true beauty is; they don't even compare, amirite?

what i wouldn't give to be born in the 30'-50's i totally feel i was born in the wrong time. so does my sister accept she wants to be in the 60's 70's

If you were born in that time period they'd still have you sitting in the kitchen making sammiches.

actually i like to cook and i feel a woman should take care of her man. but i do like to work but i would much rather be a stay at home mom. i can't wait till i am older and can take care of a family!

What are you, like fifteen saying that nonsense?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well if you were born then you wouldn't have a choice, it's easier to make that choice when you can choose whether you actually want too or not.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Anonymous):true i guess if i was born then i would hate the lack of choices

I totally know where you're coming from, I would have loved to live during the 60's and i don't fit in with today's standards

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is no reason for you to think that. Don't let todays stupid shit make you think you don't fit in.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i know what you mean i don't fit in either.

I wish I was around in the 30s-50s instead of today where people are insanely wrapped up in appearances, constantly getting plastic surgery or botox. Not to have to be around people who dress extremely slutty with barely there clothes or to be around people who care constantly about how they look and make me feel disgusting about myself because i don't look a certain way would be nice.

wow. totally true. I'd give my soul to the devil if it meant I could be born in the '50's. everyone back then was nice and loving. who cares if you were to be a housewife? i'm good at cleaning and cooking. :]

lol after everything people have done for women's rights and you just want to shove that back on the rug? You have no idea how women in that time period lived, talk to your grandma you'll see how much it sucked for women. It's not just cooking and cleaning...it's so much more.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

True. When I was in my History II class, we were studying that time period and in my book, every picture of the flappers (I know that's the 20s) looked stunning. And then the men... very attractive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's even better back then, because it was more natural beauty, instead of the cookie- cutter, plastic surgery "beauty", we have today.

I'm more into the Victorian style. Victorian houses are the most beautiful houses in the world.
