The only notes I go over are my math notes. I'm required to take history notes, but he gives us way too many and a lot of work so it isn't practical to use them to study anyway. I may as well just use the book. He gets mad if you don't write it down though, so sometimes I just pretend. It still wastes paper.

All the time! This is why I don't think students should be forced to take notes. The only class I use my notes for this year is calculus. If they are not helpful, why should I copy them? But one of my teachers has notebook checks as if I'm in middle school and another looks at me like I'm not paying attention just because I don't take notes.
