+139 It would so awesome if in future Call of Duty games, all of the online maps don't look destroyed at all. When people start playing online, the maps get destroyed from all the shooting and whatnot as time goes on. amirite?

So basically like the Battlefield games?

He means that the maps would degrade over the span of more than just a game. They would be destroyed over the course of weeks, and everyone gets to contribute.

I think he means that over the course of one game, then the maps would be brand new again for the next game to destroy.

I was thinking more of they get destroyed as time goes on and that's that.

Yeah, that's a good idea actually.

learn some programming and resource management, and you will loathe anyone who thinks that. long story short, you have a finite amount of bandwidth, processing power, and rendering power. to do this (which would be very resource-intensive) would require either a significant cut in graphics quality, or laggy games from each person's box processing every projectile and the damage it inflicts then rendering that, or having laggy games by having the vectors/etc crowdsourced and hogging bandwidth, then rendered on each person's box. it's a cool idea though, i'll give you that. :)
