Maybe instead of pouting and feeling hurt you could, I don't know, respect them? Look up to them? Let their skill be your motivation to work and be better than you are now? It's like working out, really. You can't just be born with good metabolism and say you're fit for life. You've still got to eat healthy and go to the gym to maintain it. You can't be born with your natural talent, do nothing to hone it, and then pout when someone who's worked at it to be the best they can be ends up being better than you. If you seriously feel "really depressed" whenever you're not the best then you must be downright miserable company.

Personally I YYA'd but not for the reason you're thinking. I've always been better at acting than most because I'm not afraid to go in front of people. I enjoy it and agree with you when it comes to needing to sustain it, so I've taken a ton of classes on it. But I have this friend who is just better than me with no training. I'm happy for her, and I think she deserves the parts she gets, it's just sort of saddening because I do try.
