+127 Hypocrisy: Demanding that the Government stay out of your bedroom and your womb while simultaneously demanding it pays for your birth control and abortions, amirite?

People actually want the government to help pay for their mistake? If they want to have sex, they should pay for all the precautions and contingency plans. It's like if I tell someone they shouldn't invest in Enron, and we all know what happened to them, I don't have to lend or him any money.

Yeah, it's so annoying that people want reproductive rights...

Derp, it's not the government who would be paying, it's employers being required to cover it in their employees health insurance, and that's for contraceptives not abortions. If you are going to call people hypocrites at least educate yourself on the issues first, and the fact is contraceptives (and abortions) are medical issues and it is best for the patient and doctor to decide what's needed, especially since contraceptives are used to treat lots of medical conditions and are not just used as birth control.

The way this vote ended up shows how ignorant the amirite community is when it comes to politics.

I only want them to pay for birth control since they pay for things like viagra and shit. Also, as was said above, it helps with other things, the most basic of which are things like PMS and cramps, which can interfere with your daily life. As for insurance covering and abortion, personally, I think it should if the abortion is necessary for health reasons, if birth could kill the mother, or the child, or both. Or if the woman was raped and doesn't want to carry that child... But if they're getting an abortion because 'oops,' then they should have to pay out of pocket.
