+180 It would be so cool if we could actually do spells like people in the Harry Potter universe can. But you got to admit that there would be some downsides. Think about it. Some pedophile could take a piece of an innocent little girls hair and use it in Polyjuice Potion so that he could stare at her naked, amirite?

What would be wrong with that?

That's better than pretty much anything else he could do to her.

I think the bad thing about pedophilia or any other type of -philia is the effect it has on the victim. In this case, nothing happens to the little girl, so I think it would be good in all aspects. Except avada kedavra.

Unforgivable curses wouldn't be so grand.

That'd be the least of your worries. Watch out for those petrifying spells. Date rape numbers would go through the roof.

Oh my, I thought you were going to say he would have his way with her and then use memory charms...now I feel horrible.

Unforgivable curses would have the same consequences as murder and other serious crimes. Jail time, or some other punishment. Think about Muggle murder. You have the power to murder anybody in your room, house, community, anywhere. But do you choose to do it? Nope. You have the power to torture and bully everybody. Do you choose to do it? Nope. Same concept.
