After eight grade, math should be optional. amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
People already fail hard enough at understanding how the economy works, sorry.

I'd go up to junior year, personally. After that some sort of economical class should be required.

Math isn't hard. Math is just following instructions.

Well I sure do hope that you don't want to drop English, too.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I was gonna say that too, but then I realized it was probably a typo and not a spelling mistake.

In grades 10 - 12 you can choose if you want to do Maths Literacy or Full Maths - Maths Literacy being the basic stuff and Full Maths being for the students who do Physical Science.

Whenever I see "maths", I hear a kid with a lisp saying "math".
by Anonymous12 years ago
Which makes no sense since people with lisps can't pronounce "s". Whenever I hear "math" I think of the minority of the world's Mathematics students - Americans who make something sound stupid by being too lazy to add an extra letter. "Math" makes no sense. It's short for Mathematics, not Mathematic.

I think after geometry it should be optional.
Of course, even if it was optional, I'd still have to take it. A lot of colleges look for at least 3 credits of math. There was trig on my practice ACT/SAT so I'm taking trig to study for that. And in my school it's required to take 3 core classes senior year, even though most people have all the core credits they need to graduate because of all the requirements for the other years. So I'll be taking one more math class than I really need to, anyways.
Math sucks.
