+59 If we went back an hour at some point once a year, for 24 years, then went forward a whole day on the 25th year, it would be the same as going back and forward an hour twice a year, every year, amirite?

But we shouldn't do that. Some people will have their birthday be skipped!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Haha, now that I think about it, it's like another leap year. :3

Are you TRYING to make my head hurt?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Hahaha, that's what a lot of my friends say. It's kinda mind blowing when you think about it, but at the same time it doesn't make sense and is really stupid, but is really simple... Did tha make sense? Haha.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

no lol you just made it worse lol

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Hahah oh jeez, sorry. I'm bad at explaining stuff....

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But that's not the point of daylight savings time...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So what? Haha, it's just an idea. It's just a theory that, if it did happen, would be the same thing. It's something to think about, that's all :)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No, it wouldn't be the same thing. In terms of time, yes, it would all even out, but if it completely misses the point of DST, it's not the same effect.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why are you being so rude? -.- It's just an idea! It's not even going to happen! I wasn't even trying to make it so that it still makes sense for DST. It evens out. That's all that matters to me. Why are you even trying to make an argument over this? No one cares that it 'misses the point of DST.' Like, seriously. Lighten up. Please? (:

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm not trying to attack you or start an argument. I'm just saying that ignoring part of the equation doesn't make you right.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well it's a true statement, much like "some people have green eyes". However, also similarly to "some people have green eyes" it's something that you can't deny and is, as such, a post I will not vote on.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So, you're saying, I'm pretty much right, but not right? And therefore, the post is contradicting, and you won't vote on it because of it? Or... Am I confusing myself?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm saying I won't vote on it because it's a post that's essentially saying, "You must vote YYA because it's a fact, not an opinion." I feel it's kind of dumb to vote on this, considering there's literally no reason anyone would be able to legitimately say NW.

I thought you were talking about time traveling.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This made my day :D

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The point if daylight savings time is to maximize daylight on winter days when there are fewer hours of light per day. Its not the same idea as a leap year, which is to make up for extra time in the earth's revolution.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

... I was just saying that it would equal out! Why are people trying to make it out to be some whole big commotion! Jeez. I know you are all smarter than me, but the point of this post was to make people realize that it would be like the same thing, NOT INCLUDING the point of DST or Leap Year! I just thought of stuff, okay? When I said it would be like another leap year, I meant that we would be missing a whole day. THAT'S ALL. Stop making it sound more complicated that it really is.
