+344 You hate it when you try to swallow a tablet, and it can't fit in your mouth because of the 10 inch screen, amirite?

For those of you who don't know, a tablet is also a type of pill.

People don't know that?

The PHARMACIST down the road from my apartment doesn't know that.

So you asked for a tablet and he gave you directions to the Apple store?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No. I referred to the antibiotics as tablets, and she was like 'no, dude, those are pills. A tablet is like a really flat computer.' She looked to be around 20, so it may have been like her first day or something though... We don't have Apple stores in Singapore, just 'premium resellers' like Epicentre and iStudio

I don't think she should be a pharmacist if she doesn't know that tablets and pills are the same thing.

To be fair, pills have a plasticy capsule, but yeah, I think she may have been fired.

Oh, another regional thing. Here pills and tablets are both words for the same thing - the roundish tablets, whether it's the ones that fizz when they come in contact with liquid, the ones with a line indented in them or the ones that look like mini m&ms. The sort of oval-shaped plastic ones with powder/liquid inside are just called capsules.

There are apple stores in Singapore. In the mall that has the novena train station in it (not united square) they have an apple store.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's iStudio, and it's a premium reseller, not an apple store. YOu talking about the green extension to Novena Square, right? I live jsut down the road from there. It's called Velocity.

Yeah I'm talking about that. I lived on surrey road (around the corner from united square) when I was in Singapore, but I moved away over a year ago so I don't really remember.
