+155 It's odd how Heaven is supposed to be above the sky, and we look upwards towards Heaven for a sign, advice, etc, but bow our heads when praying, amirite?

I know it's to show respect and subservience. It's just odd that you only do it some one the time a make 'eye-contact' the rest of the time.

What?

People bow their head when praying to show respect, but when people talk normally to God, the look upwards, as if trying to make eye contact.

Well praying is talking God, and just like talking to anyone else, there's different ways to do it.

Yeah, but you talk to regular people with eye contact, but the emperor must never see your face, or you'll be beheaded for disrespect. God is the same person, and even the Holy Trinity is above the emperor. That's why I'm confused. Also, you have a double comment. You may want to delete the second one.

Well god isn't real so it doesn't really matter where you look when you're 'talking' to him, which is actually just thinking in your own mind and not talking to anyone at all.

What an unnecessary comment

Yep, atheist and I totally agree. People like that should chill. The subject of god's existance is completely irrelevant to this amirite. The irony is I bet he's the kinda guy that moans about theists preaching.

I bow my head to show my respect to God when I'm praying.

It's odd that anyone still believes in any god and would try to interact with a fictional character.
