+115 Naming my child Kezia wouldn't make me the worst parent in the world, amirite?

I know a girl with that name, and she gets along just fine. Occasionally, people pronounce it wrong, but they get it right sometimes, too. Is it pronounced "Keh-zee-uh"?

Well it comes from the Protest the Hero album "Kezia", and they pronounce it kez-eye-ya... If that makes sense.

My name's been mispronounced many times, but I'd rather have a unique name in the end- I feel a little more individualistic in a way.

Agreed.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I really like that name.

One of my favorites. Used it for a gypsy in one of my stories.

Yeah, I can't think of many parents that get any worse than Josef Fritzl...

If you name her Kezia, no; if you name him Kezia, then maybe.

I think that just makes you black.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And I think that just makes you ignorant. Also, most "black names" are have origins that go back to places such as France and whatnot. I know because I use a baby app to give my sims creative names.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oh! I'm very sorry to have offended you and your Sims.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You should be. My sims have been crying about it ever since.

Am I missing something here?

My name is Kesia pronounced keh-see-ah. I've never really had much trouble. Usually you have to explain how to say it but I like my name. You don't meet many Kezias it's special.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think pronouned Ke-zey-ah, it sounds really pretty.

The point of a name is a unique way to identify yourself, so there's nothing wrong with unique names. And about the mispronunciation part: I have a Scottish name that people constantly mispronounce, and I can definitely say that it stops bothering you after a while.
