+814 Whenever a product has a Made In ___ label, it should include the country's flag. It would be a simple way to make consumers more knowledgeable, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's a really good idea. (I can honestly say I'm terrible when it comes to flags.) Most companies are probably too cheap to actually go through with that though since, if the tag is made from fabric, it would be extra thread and if it's just printed, colored ink is typically more expensive.

Easy to call a company cheap when its not your money....

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But if they are a company, they better have enough money to produce something that will cost a few cent's more (bulk buying) and it gives that company some depth.

All it would do is teach me what China's flag looks like,

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Too late.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Does anyone //not// know what China's flag looks like?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ahem.... yes. http://ctrlv.in/89150

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's Japan's flag...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Someone didn't get the joke...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oops. Read that wrong.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Good call, my friend. Very good idea.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yep...POTDs are definitely starting to suck.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why does this suck?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, I'm happy and all that this is POTD, but //this// post? This isn't even one of my good ones.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Because a post of the day should be memorable; POTD is a proud title, and only a handful of posts out of all the ones on this site will ever achieve it. It feels like the mods are just picking the first post they agree with, instead of genuinely searching for that amazing, actually-stands-out post.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I know how you feel. My only POTD was one of my worst posts. It's kind of a mixed feeling.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If I had a choice, I'd rather not have a POTD at all than have this crap. Who cares.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This is a great post! Don't shortchange yourself.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I know this is a site about opinions... yada yada, but I can't stand when people complain about POTD, shut the fuck up. Theres over 700000 posts on this site, move along.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

LOL MAYBE YOU SHOULD MAKE POTD WORTHY POSTS THEN

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And if a movie critic is disappointed with a movie, should he then try to create his own blockbuster?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Movie critics don't have the resources or money to produce a movie, while anybody can make a good post. They aren't really comparable.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

They are comparable because you don't need to make one to know that one sucks. You don't need your own POTD to know that someone else's isn't good.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, the mods definitely pick the potd...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

They do. At least sometimes, anyway. I don't think a couple of admins are gonna do it day after day.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think a lot of people here are under the impression that the POTD is suppose to be funny. I really like this post because it's a good idea.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I was being sarcastic wary

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If every POTD was what you call "memorable", after a while they wouldn't be memorable. Your standards would just keep getting higher.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think your logic only works if there was only one POTD for the rest of amirite.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There is a lot more to making a movie than just money.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

What if it had the people it was made by? Like the gay rights flag if it was handed crafted by homosexual, or a hairy foot if it was made by Bigfoot.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But we don't really need to know country flags. I think flags are more for the people of that country, to rally around as a national symbol of unity.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Imagine if Libya made a green product.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It taught me that China is a country...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Chinas a country? I thought it was a buffet

by Anonymous 11 years ago

but I already know what China's flag looks like

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Seems like it would just create a world wide deficit of red ink.
