+252 Having to break up with a person simply because you don't have feelings for them any more is incredibly hard to do, amirite?

I have a friend that's done that twice since I met her and probably more since before.

It's happened to me multiple times. I think I just like the chase. I've only had one relationship last more than a few weeks. I always just lose interest.

That makes sense. Without any conflict, things could get boring. When you're chasing someone, you don't really know what's going to happen. I think you just need to try and do something to make it more interesting because after dating for a few weeks, you could fall into a routine. If that doesn't work, then it's always better to go ahead and break up because you could both find someone better. After my friends last relationship, her ex boyfriend started dating a girl that he really likes and has a new guy she likes.

That's happened to me several times. The hardest part is explaining why you're breaking up with them. It's not like they did anything wrong, you've just lost interest. But, I've noticed that I enjoy the whole process of falling for someone and chasing after them more fun then the actual part where you start to date (In some relationships i've had, not all) I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months, my longest relationship i've ever managed to have, and there are times where I do get bored.. but he manages to catch my interest again and have my heart start pounding. Maube you're dating the same type of girls? (Same look, same personality, etc) Try someone new and exciting.

ive never broken up with someone for that reason, but my gf left me cuz of that... it hurts... especially when she refuses to talk to me after

Try being the one broken up with because your significant other doesn't love you anymore.

Hey thanks for making this easier on me.

It's just a rough situation all around. There's no better or worse side.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I was even more upset than my ex was right after I broke up with him for that reason. He felt bad for himself, but I had to feel bad for him and deal with the fact that I made him feel so bad.
