+100 It's annoying how in movies and shows, anytime there is a Wiccan/Pagan they end up being evil either purposely or they "get caught up in the dark side" accidentally. That's such an ignorant and superstitious portrayal of "witchcraft" that I feel the need to check if it's still 1692, amirite?

So I totally agree with this post, but it would make for a really boring show/movie if that didn't happen.

what forms of witchcraft can be used as good? Isaiah 29:1-16 - God's judgment fell upon Jerusalem because of witchcraft.

"God" also hates shrimp, but he has a soft spot for misogyny, incest, slavery, murder, and sadistic punishment. Have fun with that....

Oh yeah tottaly, beacuse you have read the bible? Where does it say that? Old testament is different than the new anyway; and the new testiment talks about witchcraft as well. I'm so sick of people like you that have no idea what God or the spiritual world is about and say random crap. You have no idea what you're talking about.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I have read the Bible and about the Bible more thoroughly than 85% of "Christians". Also, how date you arrogantly dismiss my spiritual beliefs and foundations when you've no clue? Furthermore, you display hypocrisy in denying that what I say is right, then acknowledging it and justifying it.

If you read the bible you would know that Jesus stood for love. You just choose to take it out of context.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Taking it out of context? No.We were talking about God, not Jesus. i know Jesus was all about love. He hung out with harlots, lepers, crooked tax collectors, etc. Unlike most wanna be "Christians", he practiced what he preached. He healed, he cared, he loved. But Jesus being awesome has, nothing to do with the fact that you're saying in wing when I'm not. The plain and simple truth is the Bible is a millennia-old historical, genealogical, moral book written by people. There may or may not have been divine inspiration. The bottom line is that when your faith or corrupted version of faith hurts people you need to stop. Whether it be women, gay people, "witches", poor, sick, elderly.. The bottom line in,98% of religions is money and power when it should be unconditional love.

since when was i hating on anyone? i said witchcraft is bad. thats my opinion, not hate. jesus is Gods son, he only did what his father wanted him to do; he reflects everything God is. my faith is hurting people? how so?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You used a passage from the old testament and then told her she couldn't defend her point using examples from the old testament. Oh the irony.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

yes i know, and i backed that up by saying that the new testament speaks about witchcraft as well.

Jesus is God not God's son. He's the Father's son.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

@cherryblossom, no, it was when pug said Jesus is God's son so of course he'll only do what his father God wanted him to do. it's just something that annoyed me a little

by Anonymous 11 years ago

is he not?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm catholic and as long as it's understood i don't care. I just thought it was a misconception

by Anonymous 11 years ago

i believe in the father the son and the holy spirit as one, as well. i don't understand how that doesn't make jesus God's son?

The Craft? Sure, three of the girls go a little nuts but the heroine stays on the straight and narrow for the most part.

There's an episode of Castle were some African American male goes all evil voodoo in the city. But then they call in someone else who actually practices the religion and she denounces him as evil and psychotic.
