+193 If you had a lot of money and a really big house, it would be really cool of you to take in a couple of homeless people [others with so-called good-for-nothing jobs like prostitutes(of course you'd take care of a few homeless first so people don't talk)] for, say, a year, to train them, give them food, shelter, etc so they can find jobs, then move on to another few homeless people, amirite?

And their own homes. Kick them out if they become moochers like Alan Harper and don't even try to get back on their feet.

I always wanted to have a house where I take in women and children from abusive situations and give them a place to hide from their abuser(s). I never thought about homeless people/prostitutes but this is a good idea too.

YEah that's cool too. If I became a multi millionaire, I'll build a guest house on my estate for both of them. If they're not in my main house and I still have privacy, I make be able to get 6 at a time.

no matter how nice of an idea this is, a lot of the people would turn your offer down.

As long as one would accept, I'd still do it for that one. Plus, once there aren't anymore who want my help, I have a sweet guest house.

train them? "sit, prostitute. stay. good, prostitute!"

Train as in like how you train someone for a job, or self-improvement courses.

I always wanted to do this, but have a big lot with a separate apartment-like housing area for them, and when they couldn't find jobs quickly, they could work on maintaining the buildings and yard, and everybody would be happy!

Although it sounds really cool... It's just not that easy. Some homeless people are on the street because they want to be and they have a different opinion on life. Maybe to us it's just plain crazy, but if you ask them... They have a reason for being on the street. If they wanted to get off it, they could- someone out there is always willing to help. You would have to have alot of trust between said homeless person/ prostitute.

There are already places that do this. I worked for a day at a shelter that did this out in east texas. They help you do anything from forgive yourself for what caused your homelessness (ex. domestic violence) to building a resume to learning how to manage finances.

That's like schools or private tuition. The school will help you get there, but it takes 16 years. Private tuition gives you the condensed knowledge, and in a small, more learning-conducive class and can do it in a very short time.
