Oh this is going to be a long story.
My name is Jessica. My family and people that I have known since I was a little kid call me Jess. I prefer Jess. But for some reason, when I'm introduced to people, I always say my name is Jessica and then that's what they call me. So I would go back in time and introduce myself to people as Jess, because that's what I like better, but I wouldn't legally change my name.
