+655 Someone should create a show that revolves around a family that involves a stupid but lovable father, a hot misunderstood mother, and their kids getting into crazy antics all the time, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That sounds hilarious. I think I could really get into that. Have you ever considered getting into show business? Oh, one suggestion though! The dad should be fat.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And the kids should always make fun of his weight!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And he should either be bald or losing his hair.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And then it's basicall family guy

@imriterite Your comment made me piss myself. You should go into comedy.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Good Luck Charlie fits this so well....

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There's like 500 shows that fit this.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think someone didn't get the joke...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I understand that a lot of shows fit this criteria, but the first one that came to my mind is Good Luck Charlie. :/

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Thats the first one i thought of too

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Huh, I never woulda thought that lol I thought Family Guy. Good Luck Charlie fits though!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

For me it was The Simpsons. 90s kid. Fuck yeah.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

oh wow, you're so special and awesome because you're a 90's kid! good job! :D

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oh anon, you're really special for watching The Simpsons since it doesn't come on anymore.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

the mom in that is hot and misunderstood?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah. D:

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"I understand that a lot of shows fit this criteria, but the first one that came to my mind is Good Luck Charlie. :/" Yes, and that's the problem.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Modern family?!?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Here's a crazy show idea. Well, you see, one average man marries and average woman. Sounds normal, right? But here's the crazy twist: they have SIX kids!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Brady bunch!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Family Guy

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Great idea! Don't forget to add a laugh track for the end of every sentence they say.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Just in case the audience didn't get the joke. It'll act as a helpful prompt!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I also suggest that the older kid is hot and stupid and the younger kid - not so attractive smartass. That would be something new!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Married... with Children.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

modern family

by Anonymous 11 years ago

8 Simple Rules.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Reba.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It sure would be a crazy twist if they were white and lived in upper-middle-class American suburbia too!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Good Luck Charlie, That's So Raven, Family Guy, Drake n Josh, Ant Farm, Wizards of Waverly Place, My Wife and Kids, George Lopez, are all of the ones I can think from the top of my head.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Modern Family (the Phil/Claire story)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Nobody has mentioned one of the older ones yet. Simpsons

by Anonymous 11 years ago

8 Simple Rules, According to Jim, The Quintuplets.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You forgot the Simpsons. Jesusfuckingchrist I don't want to live in this world anymore.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why did I think of Keeping Up With The Kardashians? :/

by Anonymous 11 years ago

oh and the main character, and obviously favourite child, should have two best friends, one of the opposite gender that develops feelings for them, and then a dumb best friend of the same gender

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Hannah Montana, that's so raven, icarly, just to name a few

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But the friend of the opposite gender did like them at some point

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's So Raven and Lizzie McGuire are probably better examples. Gordo liking Lizzie and Miranda never understanding what Lizzie or him were trying to say, and then of course on That's So Raven Chelsea got dumber as the show progressed, and by the last season Eddie and Raven had crushes on each other

by Anonymous 11 years ago

lilly could be ditzy and blonde, and sam doesn't do good at school

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Don't forget, there has to be either a sassy black girl or an Indian with a heavy accent. Or both.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And a kid in a wheelchair.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Johnny Test... Fairly Odd Parents... Dexter's Laboratory... George Lopez... Drake and Josh... I'm young, I don't have all the good ones, but those are what I came up with.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Better idea: same thing, but... ready? A LAUGHTRACK!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Or just a thirty minute long laugh track.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I thought of Home Improvement. Jill isn't exactly hot,but I'd still give her one.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

When I first saw this I thought of the simpsons

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But make sure we have a lovable yet slightly off family friend to provide quips and advice!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And perhaps you can never see is entire face.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Oh my God, for some reason that used to make me legitimately angry.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

or a lovable and slightly off sister - Hope and Faith.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Reading most of those comments made me feel really, really old. o-o

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Um i'm pretty sure they have already made a show like that...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

we all have, honey.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

let's not forget the nerdy Jewish kid!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This post is a sarcasm overload

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't really feel like Modern Family should be mentioned just because the Phil/Claire story fits. The whole point of the show is to get into the lives of families of different lifestyles, and they do just that.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yes, but the Phil/Claire side //is// exactly like this.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Mad Men! Don Draper is such a lovable oaf, Betty is such a caring mother, and Bobby, Sally, and the other one are totally important, too. (Gerald? Is his name Gerald?)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

GENE

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Am I the only one who thought of malcom in the middle? o.O

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Dude I scrolled all the way the comments and felt so lonely for thinking Malcolm in the Middle first.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

While we are adding to the list of shows, I want to say Everybody hates Chris but I don't think Julius could be called stupid.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But he is bald, so it works, and they do the classic flashback of him with an afro.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There should be a sitcom that bucks the trend completely, just for funsies. The mom is not-quite-hot and says lots of stupid things, and the father is the chiseled and macho manly man. Except that show would be written off as sexist, lol PC

by Anonymous 11 years ago

not many comments on potd...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

fresh prince of bel air

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I love the way most of these "and also" comments are just addressing like one or two shows, completely disregarding the point of the post.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

isn't that the Dunphys in Modern Family?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

You clearly don't get the joke but yes that would be one example.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Maybe even make the main character a psychic or have some sort of supernatural power... or double life!

That's it; when I have kids I'm putting a parental block (and setting a more difficult password than 1234) on Disney Channel.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm dead proud of this post. Just sayin'
