+282 If obese people need a bigger seat on an airplane then they should pay more for it, they're taking up more space, that shouldn't be free just because they're fat, amirite?

No. That's ridiculous. Just imagine you having a giant inoperable tumor, and then having be to be charged more because of health reasons? It seems to me you really just have a problem with fat people.

shut it fatty

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Although that's true, it isn't always the case.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Now that I do agree with, taking up two seats.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I thought they just meant more space in general, like their fat.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Most overweight people do not "choose" to be that way.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I guess I just don'y agree with the fact that you use the phrasing "most people" seeing as I doubt you have met most obese people and therefore shouldn't make such condescending judgements.

It sucks if they have a giant inoperable tumor, but they're still taking up more space. Should a family have to pay less for their house, when it's bigger than another's, just because they had unexpected quadruplets? It might be annoying, but if they're taking up more space, they're taking up more space.

I like this example :)

The fact that obesity is getting so commonplace that even planes need to accommodate them is depressing.

There are some airlines that make you pay for an extra seat. My uncle's brother's son has to.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So yourself?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I'm a girl, and my uncle is only my uncle through marriage, so TECHNICALLY his brother has no real relation to me. So no, not myself, genius.

Easy, tiger. Just a joke.
