I really think people in modernity overlook simplicity in favor of flashy, immediate gratification. Reading books is such a joy to me. I've probably literally read thousands

You are completely wrong in ascribing motives onto my writing that aren't there. I'm sorry you're deficient in vocabulary and feel noone speaks with more than a few key words. Does pathetically attempting to insult me for my honest reply make you feel accomplished?

Who can quantify the serenity of a pristine wood? WHat manner is used to calculate the joy of a bounding deer? What is the worth of the tides' visceral pull? Does the moon's value wax and wane with its light? Who's able to bottle the beauty of a rainbow? Where does one buy the loyalty of a companion animall? Can one sell the majesty of the mighty sequoia? Can one sell the grace of a swan? What's the market value of a loon's cry? Who shall buy the ethereal flitting of a hummingbird? What's the price of a sunset over the ocean? Can you put the glory of a valiant steed on layaway? Where does one purchase untainted morning dew? How would you package the raw power of a waterfall? What aisle contains the vibrant life of a germinating seed? How large would the department be that holds Earth's bounteous gifts? Wanna tell me again I'm using fanciful language to feign intellectual superiority? I always write and speak this way. It's my m.o. in communication. It's not showboating, just my natural linguistical inclinations.

If you think I'm being pretentious, look at my posts here. Check other comments. It's just how I tend to speak. Regarding the poem, I had written it recently and I felt it exemplified my typical writing style. No pretenses here, I assure you.

But the memories fade away so quickly. I seriously have to force myself to put down books and take my time, just so I can savour it and commit it to memory.

I did that yesterday with Tuesdays With Morrie :) Such a good book.

Usually, but it requires that I do almost nothing else the whole day, and I kind of feel like I wasted the day when I'm done, especially if I had other things I was supposed to be doing.

I did that with The Help and The Book Thief :)
