Mostly because modern disney sucks

Ok downvoters, What has Studio Ghibli made that is as bad as Hannah Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, those cheesy made for tv movies, and whatever else they actually and show on the disney channels these days?

I love Studio Ghibli because of Hayao Miyazaki, so Spirited Away was/is like a dream come true because it's a Disney movie directed and written by Mr. Miyazaki.

Sorry to take one of you dreams away.. but Spirited Away is NOT a disney movie. It's a Studio Ghibli film. Disney just got permission from Studio Ghibli to dub it in english and that's it. :P

Are you sure? On my DVD of it, there's an entire introduction by John Lassiter talking about Disney, Hayao Miyazaki, how wonderful the film is, etc.

Yeah, I'm sure. Disney did not contribute to the making of Spirited Away at all. They just dubbed it. You can look it up on wikipedia or other resources if you don't trust me though. =]

Even if they did just dub it, dubbing is still work, so, seeing as I've only seen the English version, I still choose to give them credit because they still had to choose the wording of all the dialogue and so forth, but you were absolutely right about everything you've said, so thank you for correcting me, and please ignore the fact that this is a run-on sentence.
