It seems like these tragic type incidents happen far too often in the U.S. amirite?

I mean really I feel like every fucking time I go onto yahoo or turn on the news I see shit like this. I'm legitimately getting fed up and annoyed. I'm not even shocked anymore when I hear stories like the one in Auraura

Trust me, incidents every few years and a lot of failed attempts is soooo much better than a lot of other places. We're blessed to be living in countries that have great security and defense and such a high standard of living.

I think we just have that kind of media. Our media is every where and it's incredibly fast and since the USA is so big something happens almost everywhere and the media gets it told to everywhere. We probably don't even need to hear all the stories even if a life is taken... but I don't really mind it, I'm like the psycho up there, it interests me, I spent at least 3 hours straight watching cops shows on my laptop with a the TV on a cop show as well.

Watch the documentary Bowling For Columbine, it's older and whatnot but it gives reason for why the US, compared to other nations, has all of these attacks.

I saw most of that documentary, and didn't it just list why reasons that people use (violent movies, video games, and angry movies) aren't true? You could be right though because I didn't see all of it.

Well there're a lot of people in the US, after all there are 50 states. So something bad somewhere in the US is bound to happen and when it does the media gets it's greasy fingers on it and they make sure it gets 20+ stories on it

Love how everyone blames it on the media or large population rather than the fact that people are legitimately allowed to own guns. How often to you hear about gun massacres in a country with stricter gun control, like the UK?

But actually, in places where they have the most gun control is where the most attacks happen. People are less likely to attack others in a place like Montana, where everybody is armed with a gun. Plus, in the UK they don't make their criminals "famous" like we do.

Nonono. Uk = high gun control. Uk = extremely rare gun attacks. People are less likely to attack others in a place with high gun control, because they can't. In the states with 'high gun control', the people that can't get guns are left somewhat defenseless while those who can get them have the possibility to attack the defenseless (not saying everyone with a gun is a crazy murderer). So that's why I think no one, except police etc., should be allowed guns. I know some of you may think "oh if they really want a gun then they'll get one even if it's illegal", but in places like the UK that's barely even possible, because they can't get their hands on one. And consequently, less innocent people get shot.

For one, not even the police carry guns, so they are defenseless when attacks happen, like the London Riots. Sometimes gun control wOrks for the UK, because they've had gun control for years and years. It's not possible to introduce here, because of our mindset of "the right to bear arms." plus, that requires millions of Americans who only use guns for protection or for hunting to give up their guns, which will cause a huge uproar. It may be a good idea, I don't think it could work.

That's not the case at all. Compared to the rest of the world, the US is a peaceful utopian paradise. It's just that nobody freaks out when hundreds of people get shot daily in Somalia or Syria.
