-74 Singers/ bands that arent very well known make the best music, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Uhh... I don't think that's quite how it works... if they made the best music, they WOULD be well known. I think that's usually the case

Yes because Justin Bieber and Niki Minaj make the best music, and The Black Eyed Peas is the best band ever. Of course each person has his own taste in music, and a lot of people love listening to them, but still. On the other hand, a lot of really well know singers/bands make amazing and the best music, but a huge part of them don't. I don't really know how to vote on this post though cause half of my favorite bands and singers are well known, while the other half aren't very well known.

Oh okay, they're popular cos they stink... I forgot about that. People just LOVE stinky music. I collect the albums I hate the most. I spend my well earned money on music that I absolutely hate! And that's how most people's mind works.

I see your point that they are popular because they make good music, but I think the best bands are the ones that appeal to a specific group of people and those bands aren't well known

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That does make sense. Although I imagine they're well known within that group wary

That group may not be very big. But I appreciate that you see my point

Mainstream music sucks. But there are well known musical groups that have a few songs on the radio that are good, but if they keep appearing on the radio with every new release, they probably suck. Except for Taylor Swift <3

HIPSTER ALERT!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I came in to comment that most of the YYA voters are going to be hipsters, but I knew somebody would beat me to it

I was surprised I had the honor of making the comment, myself.

The quality of a band is relative to the listener. The joy HipsterJoe may find in his underground post-Britpop is equal to the joy another person may find in listening to the top 40 countdown.

My Hipster senses are tingling.

Just to put it out there, I don't think of myself as a hipster. If I came off as one, I'm sorry..... I guess.

Don't be sorry! FUCKING EMBRACE IT

by Anonymous 11 years ago

That's questionable.
