Best chicken sandwich I ever had

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I've only had it once and it was fucking disgusting, just like their stance.

I didn't even know it was Chick Fil A Appreciation Day. We went to Taco Cabana.

said it once and I'll say it again I think it's being overblown just a little bit. But at the same time I definitely understand why. People have a right to their own opinions, but when the head of a relatively large business such as Chick-Fil-A openly uses the money I spend on their delicious as fuck waffle fries(don't judge me) goes to shitty hardcoar christianz as fuk groups that are anti-gay and are a BIG part of the reason gay/lesbian marriage doesn't exist? Y'know, that gets me a little pissed off. And what's making it wore is all this backlash is probably going to result in them getting MORE customers! The point is this - you can be the head of a large corporation and still voice your opinions and beliefs. To be quite honest, I wouldn't really give a shit if they were nazis, to be frank. But as soon as they start supporting things that tear down Equal Rights Movements that we've come so far in, as soon as we realize THEY are the thing preventing us from reaching equality... Yeah, I think I can live without those waffle fries. Also surprisingly relevant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO-msplukrw

It's funny how quick the tables turn. Oreo was protested for stating its stance on an issue, but Chick Fil-A does the same thing and we need to protect their freedom of speech. Ummm, what? You don't get to choose when you defend free speech.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Plenty of people supported Oreo's decision and were against Chick Fil A's...

This posts was a excellent poll of which side this site is on, sadly it leans left 3/1.

NY.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Are you kidding me? When I was in NY I saw about 3 of them. Or are you talking about NY state, not NY city?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I guess I've just never seen them...Not as popular here or something?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

When I went to new york city I never saw a single one, that was a bit back though, around 5 years ago.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I did actually eat there on the day that was meant to support anti-gay rights by accident. Whoops. I'm pro-gay but still not boycotting it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How did you get in? I'm guessing yours wasn't crowded

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I went through the drive thru... And no it wasn't busy at all. I was on the beach and there are a lot of older people, it's never really busy.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I didn't even know what Chick-Fil-A /was/ until this whole thing happened...

Why does nobody understand what freedom of speech is? "Congress shall make no law" is right there in the very beginning of the first amendment. Was Congress trying to make a law prohibiting the president of Chick-fil-a from saying or doing asinine things? No, and therefore it is not an issue of free speech. It's an issue of an asshole who happens to be the president of a popular restaurant chain doing and saying homophobic things, and other homophobes and ignorant people eating chicken because Mike Huckabee told them to.
