more than anything!

I never understood the big deal about tropical areas, homes by the beach, and all that.

Just because your home is by the beach doesn't mean it's tropical.

The only reason I would want to live by a beach is to go surfing. Other than that I would much rather live in a log cabin in the middle of Alaska.

Tropical areas have lots of bugs, high humidity constantly, ridiculously strong thunderstorms and hurricanes, etc. And if I lived on the beach all that sand and wind would get annoying. I'm a big city person.

THANK you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I was watching one of those real estate shows and they were looking at a beach house. You literally have to replace all of your outdoor fixtures and stuff constantly because of salt and sand damage. Oh, and let's not forget tsunami insurance.

Seems like way more trouble than it's worth. For a week, sure. But I'm not going through all that for life. Overrated.

I'd love to live in puerto rico. Still a tropical island.

I have always wanted to live in a tropical, beachy area. Palm trees, parrots, white sandy beaches, blue-green waters.. How would that not be great?
by Anonymous11 years ago
There's the heat, humidity, tourists, hurricanes, etc. That kind of makes it all not worth it.

Nahh, I wouldn't live there all the time, I would only go there for vacation or a honeymoon or something, living there would probably ruin the experience.
