+197 A television show about a privileged white teenager whose parents send him to live in a rough, urban environment because they fear he is too spoiled to succeed in the real world probably wouldn't go over as well as the show about the reverse did, amirite?

Fresh prince of belaire??

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Actually, the exact opposite: Rotten Pauper of San Francisco.

Oh, it doesn't exist. The post was just talking about the exact opposite of Fresh Prince, so I commented with a title made of antonyms. Unless you were saying you'd never seen Fresh Prince, in which case you can feel free to ignore this comment.

lol does anyone remember the show Brat Camp?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I remember. But it wasn't on for very long. I totally disagree with this post. I'd looove to see some brat (Like the kids from My Sweet 16) be thrown into the real world.

was that the one they cancelled because some kids were hiking out in the desert and one got struck by lightning and died?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

lmao i honestly couldnt tell you i only watched it once but it was basically this idea. spoiled kids with some personal problems had to go live with with a family that lives a not-so fortunate life

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think that sounds better than the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air...personally, anyways.

Anyone who sent their kid to live in a rough, urban environment etc etc wouldn't have a spoiled kid - the parents are who make the kid spoiled or not.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

He/she would already **be** spoiled. That's why he/she gets sent away.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah, but the kind of person who would send their kid away because they were spoiled //wouldn't// have spoiled them in the first place.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would watch the shit out of that if it was a reality show. If it were a sitcom, though, I'd probably never go for that.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Personally, I think it sounds entertaining, but I don't think it would go over well because people would complain about stereotypes being reinforced.
